Justice for Farhan Masih: A Mission of Hope, Faith, and Courage
Overview
The Good Samaritan Society for Development and Rehabilitation (GSSDR) is proud to stand for truth and justice. One of the most defining chapters in our journey has been the legal and humanitarian support of Farhan Masih, a young Christian man falsely accused under Pakistan’s blasphemy and anti-terrorism laws.
The Case
In 26.1.2025, Farhan Masih, a 28-year-old resident of Sahiwal and a member of a marginalized Christian community, was wrongfully accused under Section 295A, 298 of the Pakistan Penal Code and Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) 1997. The FIR No. 224/25 was lodged at the Ghala Mandi Police Station, Sahiwal, branding him a blasphemer and a terrorist—charges that placed his life in grave danger.
From the very beginning, the Good Samaritan Society stood by Farhan’s side, offering spiritual, legal, and moral support. His arrest sent waves of fear through Pakistan’s Christian community, but our resolve to fight for his innocence only grew stronger.
Our Role
Legal Defense: We appointed Advocate Kashif Nemat, a courageous Christian lawyer, to lead Farhan’s legal defense in the Anti-Terrorism Court of Sahiwal.
Public Awareness & Prayer Support: GSSDR mobilized churches, prayer groups, and human rights defenders to stand in prayer and solidarity for Farhan’s freedom.
Rehabilitation & Protection: After the verdict, we ensured Farhan’s relocation and protection due to serious threats to his life in his home village.
Victory Through Grace
On June 12, 2025, by the grace of God and relentless legal efforts, the honorable Judge Zia Ullah Khan acquitted Farhan of all charges due to lack of evidence. The truth prevailed.
This is not just a victory for Farhan—it is a victory for every innocent soul silenced under false accusations. It is a testimony to the power of faith, unity, and the relentless pursuit of justice.
Farhan’s New Life
Today, Farhan is beginning a new chapter. He is in a safe place and undergoing spiritual and psychological rehabilitation supported by GSSDR. We continue to walk with him, helping him rebuild his life in dignity and hope.
